L. Clarke Jones, Jr.

Founder, CEO, and President of the parent corporation of Jones Realty and Construction Corporation, and Head of the Development Division

Mr. L. Clarke Jones, Jr. completed his academic work at Duke University in less than three years, and then served as a Navy ensign in the Philippines towards the end of WWII. He is married to his college sweetheart, Jo Anne. He is an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing. He has been a sponsor of Ducks Unlimited for decades, supporting his love for preservation of our environment. This dedication to the environment is apparent thought the projects completed by JRCC, in which the company works to preserve the land’s natural integrity and achieve an ecological balance.

A few of his favorite developments are Countryside Subdivision in Henrico County, Boscobel in Goochland County, and Jetty’s Reach in the Northumberland County. Jetty’s Reach, a project of the Countryside Corporation, is a prime example of his desire and ability to successfully coordinate real estate development and construction to the benefit of the waterfront environment and his clients’ comfort, enjoyment, and investment.

Mr. Jones, Jr. is a real estate broker, land developer, and builder. Mr. Jones has served as President of the Home Builders Association of Richmond, as well as the State Home Builders of Virginia, and he is a Charter Hall of Fame Member of both Associations. He is also a Life Director of the National Association of Home Builders.

Mr. Jones founded Jones Realty and Construction Corporation in 1948 after serving with Jones and Robins, Inc. He has maintained presidential responsibility for projects that have been constructed by JRCC over the past 60 years and remains the active head of JRCC. Three of his four sons joined him in the business. Each son showcases his own interests and talents through his work at JRCC.
