This project on approximately 2 acres is located in Pulaski County, VA. This project required demolition of three separate retail buildings and two residential structures along with all associated paving and utility abandonment. This site required substantial earthwork fill which was contained with a retaining wall with guard rails and fencing. JRCC also completed all utilities including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water and gas with required road cuts and replacement along with overhead electrical relocations. All paving, irrigation, landscaping and county sidewalks were also completed.
The Walgreens building is a prototype that utilized a single wythe masonry construction with steel structure. The interior construction is metal and drywall system with complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression systems. The ceiling is open to the deck which is painted with free hanging lights. The finishes include paint, FRP and masonite with VCT and ceramic tile flooring.
